Goodbye Hello
by Scarborough/K

Goodbye?
Hello?
Can I stay?
Do I have to go?
I've really got nowhere to go;
a fear of winding up on a park bench
stays with me.

Goodbye,
hello,
do I really have to go?
I pay rent here, also.
Let me put on my shoes.
Don't call the police,
I'll do as you please.

What have I done.
She quit being fun,
and I told her so
she got a chip on her shoulder,
and said that I had to go.

Goodbye,
hello,
do I really have to go?
I pay rent here, also.
Let me put on my shoes.
Don't call the police,
I'll do as you please.

Goodbye?
Hello?
Can I stay?
Do I have to go?

Goodbye?
Hello?
Can I stay?
Do I have to go?

I spent the first two nights
on a park bench under city light,
I didn't go back; I didn't want a fight
I knocked on a friend's door,
he let me sleep on a blanket on his floor.

Goodbye?
Hello?
Can I stay?
Do I have to go?

Goodbye?
Hello?
Can I stay?
Do I have to go?

In court, she said I was abusive,
I didn't know what words to choose
to respond with, so I was no longer married.

Goodbye?
Hello?
Can I stay?
Do I have to go?

Goodbye?
Hello?
Can I stay?
Do I have to go?

The answer is yes.
She put my love to a test,
and my love failed.
I'm just glad that
I didn't wind up in jail.
I met you at the grocery store,
I knew right way what more could I want
I asked you to go to a restaurant
I asked you if you knew this wine
that I held in these hands of mine,
and, now it is many years later.

Your eyes are asleep
and I am turning my back on you in our sleep.
I will wake in the morning, and leave you,
but I'll return, when it's nearly night,

I'll catch your smile,
that I've missed for awhile
while I've been away,
another day passes in our love affair
and it's not fair that I can be with you
all day every day.

Your eyes are burning
and I m turning my back on you in our sleep.
I will wake in the morning, and leave you,
but I'll return, when it's nearly night,

I will always love you
it sounds so simple
like the ripple of a small wave
on the mighty sea,

but you can believe me
I will stand beside you,
and in front of you,
and behind you

because I will always love you,
no matter what the weather brings;
I will always love you,
Heaven's Highest Hill

If I die tomorrow,
don't you know
that I'll love you still,
looking down at you
from Heaven's highest hill.

Having coffee with the angels,
I'll raise a toast to your smile,
and tell my new friend's
just how beautiful you are.

If I die tomorrow,
don't you know
that I'll love you still
Looking down at you
from Heaven's highest hill.

I won't date anyone
behind the pearly gates
I want you to live a full life
but I can't wait to be with you, again,
for not only were you my lover
you were my best friend.

If I die tomorrow,
don't you know
that I'll love you still
Looking down at you
from Heaven's highest hill.

There are parties in the streets
here below Heaven's Hill
that are great, but all that can wait
until I hold you in my arms, again.

I look down and see you crying
I want to pull you close to me,
and one day I wlll
on Heaven's highest hill.

I look down at you and I know
that you don't know
that I still love you
Looking down at you
from Heaven's highest hill.

From Heaven's highest hill
I can see you,
on Heaven's highest hill,
one day I will be with you.

On Heaven's highest hill;
on Heaven's highest hill.

There is no time clock
on Heaven's highest hill
but the minutes are ticking away
until you'll be with me.

From Heaven's highest hill
I can see you,
on Heaven's highest hill,
one day I will be with you.

(for Heaven's Highest Hill
I've got something good here.
just 3 or 4 would be nice
matching (roughly) the rhythm of
the 'If I die tomorrow' grouping.)
